I believe AI will have an enormous impact on everyone in the coming months and years, and I am super ambivalent!

This blog is a place for me to try and work through my thoughts / opinions / predictions, hopefully in a way that some other people find interesting and useful.

I got my CS PhD from Northwestern (“Machine-generated content”) then worked as Chief Scientist for 10+ years at Narrative Science. Now I'm leading our agentic AI strategy at Tableau/Salesforce.

I've got a family with three young and awesome kids, live in Chicago, and play ukulele and D&D.
